yeah, not like its a porsche or anything. just a cheap RWD econobox from the early 90’s. but don’t winter drive it for the love of god! It might rust! spend more money on getting a beater!

Maybe some people care about the car they are building? I would never drive a car I am building/intend to keep long term when im a grand daddy. Yes I am like that with my 240 
Otherwise its such a waste of money and time. Just my opinion and how i feel about it/towards it but meh.

If you treat it as a piece of shit and build it like one or maintain it like one it will be one.
If you ‘put it on the pedestal’ it will get up there, be up there and remain up there.
Just I wouldn’t spend any money on any car if I wouldn’t treat it as such. Otherwise waste of money. There’s more important things in life to spend money on (eg; needs). Burning away money for the heck of it is kinda stupid. To me its a part time hobby which I enjoy and I’m sure others as well obviously enjoy… but I look at it objectively like so.
I got my car from the get go with a mindset knowing what I wanted to do with it long term. I didn’t get it to impress high school kiddies or girls or whatever (if you can even do that with a 240 lol).
Just different approach I suppose, kinda makes me sad to see them ripped in snow that’s all.
My car is to the point where I couldnt winter drive it… just 2 hard on the paint… rust issues brakes are 2 big to fit behind steelies… etc etc but god damn winter tires stretched onto wheels… fucking sick guys
Simplemind, how is the RB in the cold? Mine hated it. Took forever to warm up at idle. At least 10 minutes and that was in November. I figured RB’s are just too cool for the cold or something. The torque would be waaay too much fun in the snow. I’m kind of jealous. I almost envy you guys driving your cars in the winter. My winter beater Civic is so goddamn slow compares to my 240. I miss the power of an RB. :(.
