Larger tire to fill out the wheel well… A 215 tire is still fine, but a 225/45-17 is a little higher on the sidewall. I found out after ordering that a 225/45 is a little closer to 205/55-16 which I think is stock on a Mazda3? It is for Cavalier.
Oh I gotcha. I was actually going to pick-up bald’s BFGs, but I read that with a 225-series tires and the lower offset of the rims (42 compared to 54), I would have a rubbing issue when I lower the car (doing Eibachs later this year). So I had to keep it the same size.
the difference in height between a 225 45 17, 215 45 17, 205 55 16, 225 50 16 is cunt hairs of course some are wider then others
