I have a 2004 kawi zx6r (636)
What kind of gains can actually be expected from a power commander…are they even worth buying???

I think most ppl will tell you that they are definitely worth it and that you’ll get huge gains! i dont have one, but that’s what i’ve heard…
Myself, if i ever want to go that route, i’ll go with what they call the MAK box… some TL1000R guy created a box that is identical to the yosh box, which does most of the same things as the PC, just not as fancy… he created a diagram and schematic of how to make one, and how to retune the bikes computer. Check around the kawi forums, and i bet there is someone who has done something very similar. However, of course, there is always alot of risk wiht something like that
really not needed unless you did a full system
I wouldn’t waste the money on a power commander - invest in a set of fork springs and a rear shock spring designed for your body weight. OEM springs are designed for a 175 pound male.
If you have an aftermarket pipe and feel the bike lugging or less responsive, get a PC to even it out. Otherwise, save your coin like Spicoli says.
or boost
Seriously, a new set of spings set for your weight; you’ll gain more performance out of your bike then $1200 spent in a Fuel & Exhaust set up.
