Those of you who have power commanders on your bikes, did you have someone local tune it or do you have just a mail order tune on it?
i took mine to the dealer for them to tune it.
mail order tune from jamie at fuelmoto
I had niagara powersports do mine, but I guess some people have had bad experiences there since.
He got me 160 whp, I wasn’t complaining. 30hp increase at 7k was like WHOOOAH.
And the bike is still running 15,000 miles later (in cali :().
This is going on a quad. Just trying to get my options out before getting an exhaust or anything. But seems like maybe the PC V with auto tune is the way to go.
yea the auto tune sounds so awesome. I’ve heard really good things about bazzazz too, but IDK if they make em for quads.
I recently went to a training seminar for the Power Commander 5 at the Turning Stone Casino. It was put on by Drag specialties/parts unlimited and was taught by the main tech at Dyno Jet.
It was a good class and if you are getting one I highly suggest the auto tune unit so that you get some o2 feedback and so that it will compensate for changes in environment better.
If you are looking for someone to tune it check out Steve’s custom cycles in Lockport on Robinson road. Darren can tune it for you no problem. He can probably build a suspension for it too.
I just heard of Steve’s really f*cking up a motor rebuild from guy I met a couple weeks ago. From them ordering and installing the wrong stroker kit to stripped holes, to the top end falling apart… not good…
^^^ I’ve yet to hear bad feedback on them… Good dudes over there
What kind of bike was it?
like a honda 250x or something.

found an auto tune kit minus O2 sensor. How much does one go for that would work with it?
Who the fuck strokes a 250?
O2 sensors can be had for 60-100 or so they use the dame type as any other wide band the bosch type.
