Bike Exhaust Baffle ??

if I remove the baffles will I lose any power I am running the power commander, with the map that allows you to run them without.

WOT should improve, depending upon pipe design…also, you will probably lose some low end torque and mid torque as well as a little throttle response if the commander can’t compensate the tune for a major increase in the amount of extra air flow.

Are you doing a K&N filter on the intake side? (it’d be a good idea for low restriction intake as well as exhaust).

running pro-r kykyan hypercharger, and the power commander, the pip is 2.5 they have a map pre programmed for the V&H and charger setup im running, but it seems that it hesitates in 2nd and 3rd, little loss on TQ it fees like

Is there any other variables you’ve changed up (plug gap, heat range, etc.)?

You bought the PC3, with USB didn’ja? Can you tweak stuff/maps with a laptop with that one? Sounds like the map they have isn’t working as well for that application as we’d think.

(HybridDynamics to the rescue?!?)

map m322-003?

thatsthe one i have set it i the PC3, stock plug. Havent tried adjusting the numbers yet. still a little foggy on how to see any results

Also, by hesitate did you mean like a “buck” or a flat spot where it almost dies then takes off at higher RPM? If it’s a “buck”, stop now and revert to baffles with baffle tune until you can get more info. If it’s a flat spot, there’s a way to adjust the amount of fuel being added at the rpms where it’s hesitating. How’s the end of the pipe look, is it carbon’d up a little?

…from the PC3USB feature list: it looks like there’s a fair amount of adjustment with this unit. I’d be very careful not to lean it out too much at any point. Without a wideband it might be difficult to figure out if the afr is right, so it’s going to be seat of pants unless there’s a Power Commander forum that can help you tune it better.

    * Hassle free communication with new USB support
      The new Power Commander USB will instantly and
automatically connect to the Power Commander Control
Center software once it is installed. Simply "power up"
the unit and connect the supplied USB cable to the
computer and PCIII USB.
    * Automatic map retrieval upon connection
      As soon as you connect the PCIII USB to the
computer and launch the software, the map installed
in the PCIII USB will be displayed.
    * Onboard notes storage
      The PCIII USB stores the notes from the map in
the onboard memory. This makes it easy to see exactly
which map is loaded. The notes, just as the map itself,
are automatically retrieved upon connecting to the unit.
    * Individual cylinder adjustment
      All PCIII USB units have a "cylinder trim" adjustment
feature that allows you to "offset" fuel to one or more
cylinders. Additionally, for advanced users, the PCIII
USB allows individual cylinder mapping. Now each
cylinder can be mapped individually throughout the
entire rpm/throttle position range.
    * Enhanced "file compare" utility
      The PCIII USB software now allows you to compare
two map files without the Power Commander connected.
There is a numerical display as well as a brand new
graphical display.
    * Easier to use "button adjustment" mode
      The button adjustment has been made easier by
introducing a "startup delay". This lets the user have
enough time to start the bike and then switch the
PCIII USB into "button adjust" mode. The ranges of
the buttons are now displayed in the software. Simply
connect the unit to the computer and press one of
the buttons. Their ranges are shown on the screen.
    * "Expansion port" for future upgrades and accessories
      The "expansion port" allows easy connection of
upcoming accessories such as our new ignition module.
    * 9V "Power Up" adapter
      Every PCIII USB comes with a "power up" adapter
which allows users to program and interface with the
Power Commander on their desktop without being connected
to the bike.
    * Accelerator Pump
      You can adjust: A) The amount of fuel to add,
B) The number of engine revolutions during which fuel
is added, C) The sensitivity of throttle movement under
which the accelerator pump is activated

well I reinstalled the MAP and ran alittle better no dead spaots or shuttering. So I hope that stays the same.

Next stop figureing how to mount the seat so it looks right.

:cool: post more pics of the bike!
