PRAY FOR ME!

Yeah, somehow I managed not to f*ck everything up. Still not quite sure how I did it.

I know I need the MMI’s installed for sure…I’m not really a fan of my entire drivetrain bouncing up and down on acceleration.

What I/H/E are you running? I don’t know about this Evo2…it’s supposed to get quieter with soot build up, but it seems to be getting louder. Oh, and it’ll give me a ticket too, because at 100-110KM/h, there is a very annoying bass vibration - which means I’ll just have to drive faster! Oh, and just out of curiosity, where did you get your mods from?

Thanks for the offer of help…I might hit you up for it when I get some time freed up! If I can help you in any way, lemme know!

I’m running an Injen CAI, Hotshot header, and Vibrant cat-back for I/H/E.

I was also the first guy to ever install MMI in his Spec. Before Energy Suspension and Place racing made their mounts there was a local guy on b15sentra.net who’s dad works at a polyurethane place in Nisku. He made some inserts and was selling them himself untill Powertech Imports started selling them for him. Anyway long story short, I got my hands on the prototype set before anyone else anywhere.

My CAI and header were bought used and I got my cat-back from Contemporary Motorsports in Calgary. I bought my brake lines and Hawk HP+ pads from Matrix.

It’s strange that your car drones at such a low speed. Mine won’t do it untill 120+.

Nice…I actually wanted an Injen CAI before I ended up with the Nismo - the Injen makes more power, I do believe.

You should get your hands on a midpipe if you don’t have one yet. The dyno numbers don’t improve that much, but apparently it opens up the midrange quite a bit.

The droning is hella annoying too - here I am headed down highway 16 wondering if I’m driving a car or an airplane. Considering how much I hate loud exhausts, I might have to change it up. Isn’t the Vibrant supposed to be fairly raspy?

Mind if I asked how much you paid for your lines? I got lucky and hit up a group buy for ~$120 shipped from the US with the clutch line included.

Nice job with the MMI’s, the only reason I haven’t installed mine yet is that I need to figure out how to do it without the engine falling out and crushing my stupid ass.

Oh, by the way, are you going to do any autocrossing or dragging this year? It’d be nice to see another Spec V out there somewhere.

You tell me if it’s raspy. These 2 vids are with header and exhaust only, no CAI.

And just for kicks here’s a vid from before I had any real mods. I only had an axle-back muffler here.

As for installing the MMI’s don’t worry about it. It’s the easiest damn thing you could ever do.

I don’t know if I’ll do any autoX this year. I attended every event I could the summer before last but when too many people started showing up and they went to the pre-registration crap I kinda lost interest. I never know if I’ll be able to make it untill pretty much the morning of the event. I’ll probably end up going drag racing at least once though. Just to see if I’ll crack 14’s. G-tech says 14.9 so I want to see how accurate it is.
