Hey all finaly got my new header anyone know about how much i am looking to get it installed it is a 2.2 2000 cavy

that just to get the header installed no cat or exhaust yet at least i will be getting the cat and the exhaust at the same time. proble giong to get a rksport hi flow cat with there cat back system

Anyone know on my engine if that the header welds to the cat or does it bolt to the car? i called a few places today 1 says bolt on the 2000 2.2 one says weld
I used to drive a Cavy with that same engine. I did all the work on it myself which included tearing it down to do head gaskets and such (it was a problematic engine for me). I know that engine, believe me. Plus the fact that I did my own header install on my 04.

I am looking at the rksport cat back systems they got a nice sound to them friend that lives up the street has there cat back system does not sound to to bad but then aghain he has stock header and cat. i hear it will change the sound of the car after i put the header on and then after i get a new cat back system
that’s funny. I mean it’s no VW :jerkit: but seriously, you gotta go with what sounds/looks good. Personally, I like the look of some of the round mufflers (like the one I have)…but to each his own I guess.
Anyway, about the RK Sport system. Your best bet is to get a muffler and resonator of your choice and get pipe custom made—it’s a hell of a lot cheaper and you can tailor it to your tastes. Besides–the RK single cat back sounds like ass on anything but a stock motor.

I really don’t understand what is so wrong with the things I’ve said in this post. Is this not an automotive forum where people can discuss their rides and try to get advice? The guy has a Cavalier–I know what sounds good on those and what does not. Granted it’s not a 12 or 13 second muscle car, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun with it.
I really don’t get all the hatin that goes on here. But, like I said before, to each his own I guess.
