During my runs last night at the track i noticed something about how the car was running
right around the traps, probly last 30 feet of the track, i’m in my 3rd gear on my 700r4, and near 41-4200rpms or so. when i hit that rpm, the motor stops pulling and you can feel/see/hear the rpms drop down to 39-4000rpms and not wanna climb any more. its like i let off the gas, but i’m standing on it. it never did this before till last night.
but thru 1st and 2nd, the car runs fine to the 5k shift point
is it a bad fuel pump that is cuttin the motor out like that? or a fuel filter? or something else.
my torque converter wouldnt be lockin up or something at that speed to cause the rpms to drop like that would it? i have heard that converters lock up at around 70ish mph at wot. mine would be lockin at 90ish if this is the case
