Problem.....solution? v 07 Commander

Back in May of 08 I was t-boned (not my fault) with my 07 commander. I really liked this SUV. It has everything i wanted i.e leather, dvd, heated everything…
The adjuster did not total it, the 1st adjustment was for 6k, and it was worth 23k, i only owed 12k on it at the time. It took 50+ work days and a total of 16k for it to come back from the shop. When it came out it was NOT right. I can think of a list of 20+ items that are wrong with it.

So i would like to trade it in. they would only give me 13.5k for it!!!

NOW, i am pissed. I dont want anything for free, i just want an SUV with the same options with nothing wrong with it.

ANY THOUGHTS.

“v.”, not “vs”

what is the NADA value of the vehicle?

You should know that auction values on these are not all that high as of late… IDK if they also take into account the accident - but I would assume it will detract from what they offer you as well.

get the 20 things fixed … and keep it

before the work or now. trade in 13.5k retail 19k, pp 16k

I would like to but something tells me it will not be right.

accidents definetly fuck the value of your trade, my friend had an 03 a4 he was trying to trade, when both dealers looked at it they both knew about the rear ending within minutes and readjusted their offers accordingly

Take it back until they fix it right!

You should have also made the adjuster give you more money for a lesser valve of retail due to accident!

When my vette was tapped I talked them into giving me $1500 more because the issue would show up on a carfax.

That really sucks though…maybe try to work out a deal where they pay full value of the truck to you, and they get the truck back. Then you can spend the money as you wish.

All in all, I’d yell loudly at someone.

Try:

Babies
Old ladies
Someone in a church
A cop
Animals
Fake birds you imagine
A lamp

Yeah really dan if there is stuff they have to fix take it back… Everyone is trading in SUVs so they arent worth dick, no demand for them really anymore with gas prices

the caveat is that they are “minor” things… at least the few problems that I was shown.

If PP is 16k, 13.5 is actually pretty good from a dealer IMO.
