honestly, Call Chuck again, or PM him on HIS forum which can be found at Custom and Sound . your best bet is to call him though, coz he has very limited time on the internet from what he tells me. Plus the fact that he is pretty busy right now. Just call him and give him your side of the story…NICELY (not saying you would be rude, just tryin to help)…and I am sure he would be more than happy to help you. Having dealt with/talked to Chuck quite a few times, I know for a fact that the last thing he wants to do is lose any business.
Just give him a shot at explaining over the phone or in person—alot easier to get ahold of him that way.

i run a tight shop and it is all on the books. i got insurance, tax id , buss. account … i don’t do shit the shitty way i may not have a nice set up but it gets the job done. and as for the ones that don’t want to deal with that is fine… for the ones that had smooth dealing thank’s cause there are no more deal’s the price is set and either you pay it or you don’t … mike,jeff.john.tony.mike thanks and your work is at your prices …
I can back Chuck up, everything went great when I had my header coated by him. Ill probably have a few more things for him to coat whenever i get my bike shit sorted out

I can’t comment on the issue between Cutty and Chuck, thats for them to resolve.
But Chuck seems like a very reasonable person. I was happy doing business with him and am already making arrangements for more work to be done. He was honest and upfront with me through the entire process of getting my rims powder coated. I’m very happy with my wheels.
I hope this is solved quick and peacefully as it should be.
I had work done, and Have refered several people to chuck. I and they have had no problems with him and have some other stuff in the tenitive stages to get done (my buddies stuff) as soon as he gets his broken wheel lock off :doh:
im not really sure what happened, i talked to cutty and chuck about it, and it seemed like there was some bad communication between the both… so im not really sure what happened, i hope it gets resolved tho
Due to the lack of storage and the amount of part’s not claimed in a reasonable time the following has been added to are shop : (This was talk about with are legal department)

There is a 50% deposit required on all jobs
Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE once the powder is ordered.
Turn around time is form a few days to a few weeks depending on the work load at the time. So don’t try to rush your part’s in front of the other job’s ahead of you…
We reserve the right to return any job at anytime with out notices. Due to defected items.
If we feel that a part is unsafe or defective will will not touch it …
Any and every part left over 2 weeks of being called or told to pick them up become the property of Custom And Sound. And will be Melted or Sold !!!
Any part’s left over 1 Month after being told to pick up or remove will be considered not wanted. And will be sold / melted / junked !!!

As far as I’m aware, you cannot “grandfather” a rule that you have regarding your business to prior years. Therefore, since you have had Bob’s wheels since November 2004 (per his post), the above legal notice is void in his case.
IMO, I believe that if you were to destroy/sell/melt/otherwise get rid of his wheels, you would be liable for the damage to them and would be required to replace them or Bob would have to have the wheels and the approximate condition they were in appraised so that you could pay him whatever is determined to be “fair market value”. The assumption when an item is given to a business for repair/enhancement is that the product will come back in equally good or better condition, depending upon the terms of the contract (in this case, a verbal contract, which IS grounds for a suit if the wheels are not returned to the customers expectations. Typically, a verbal contract is just as strong as any written contract as long as both sides argree that a deal was verbally struck regarding services rendered). If the product comes back in a condition that was not agreed upon, once again there is a problem.
I’m just referencing what I know from my Business Law class, I’m not sure how much of what I said is 100% right.
sounds about right to me… FYI Chuck, if you want people to take your legal disclaimer seriously make sure that it is grammar and spell checked and written like a legal binding document. Also it would probably be good for people to sign this disclaimer upon initial transfer of the goods.
i dindt’ have to sign a waver for my shep trans and his site says the same thing…if not paid for withing 30 days it will be sold to cover the cost of materials. come to think of it every machine shop i’ve been to said the same thing and i never had to sign anythign
I DO NOT CARE WHAT RULES YOU MADE UP. You can get me my wheels or i will have a talk with my lawyer, the magistrate and the better business bureau. Simple solution is to just give me my wheels. I’m not tryin to make this harder than it has to be, Its in everyone best interest to have my wheels returned and have that be the end of story.
