What the F$#k is going on here? Arizona opens a Supertrack with an airport landing strip incorporating a 1/4 mile track in it, and we have this
Due to financial difficulties arising from unresolved property tax issues, operational losses, health department requirements, and other pressures facing the local racing industry, Adirondack International Speedway regrets to announce there will not be competition at the track during the 2010 season. Track management is attempting to resolve some of these issues to hopefully re-open at some point in the future.
Many thanks to all the businesses, drivers, racing teams, and fans who have supported AIS this past year and since it’s opening in 2001. For 2010, we encourage everyone to support other race tracks as much as possible.
May you all have success during the coming year!
Thank you,
Keith Zehr, track announcer
Can we have something go through for us in NY?

WTF!? that’s the track we got to and hold our private drift events at.
I feel like my i just got my heart ripped out.
might have to take a bath with a razor blade
There was an article about this in one of the newspapers recently. It described some kind of dispute between the town they’re taxed by and what their value is, vs. if they’re going to stay open because of the outrageous amount of money they were trying to tax them in a do-nothing town vs. people who built houses around there that say it’s too noisy.
What a bunch of pantloads.
just when it seems so much is going right for the drift scene something like this happens.
As auto enthusiasts in NY we just can’t win.
If noise is one of the primary concerns than that’s bogus. Most tracks have noise regulations and they are no louder or more annoying than construction.
I forsee electrical sports cars such as tesla having an easier time in the future.
Good news is Malta Speedway is a go for drift events next year…if we get in early we can run that track, get in good with the people that work there and have private late night sesh’s if ya know what i mean :naughty
hell yeah lets go fuck some lamas in their sleep
and its a lot fucking closer.
We should be able to drift AIS still.
FWIW, the AZ track was privately funded, had nothing to do with location. In fact, the big question about that track IMO is if the location will work out. It’s in Willcox, AZ-a shithole with no major airport nearby.
x2, and theyre building a road course! win
