I have a DVD that was homemade and I want to rip the content to a file then host it. Not sure what format the DVD is in.
Are there any programs out there that can do this. Preferablly free.
Thanks.

What AVI codec does it use though? I noticed on my media center PC it played it natively, while on my straight XP machine I ended up installing a ton of codecs before it worked.
not sure, i dont have the new version on my laptop.
i will check my desktop when i get home.
XVid?
Just play it with VideoLAN. Codecs are a pain in the ass to continually install for movies.
Will the link posted allow me to save a DVD to my computer then host it somewhere?
if you are looking to “legally” copy them to dvd-r’s then youll need a copy of nero 7 and dvd shrink 3.2.
nero?, omg nero sucks balls, sooooo many better programs out there than that hog.
STAY away from nero.
I have used dvd shrink and dvd decrypter for a while now, are there any better ones out there yet?
funny…nero works perfect for me and so does dvd shrink. Are there any logical reasons as to why you say “omg nero sucks balls”? And name a program thats better than nero?
only program i havent used on that list extensively is decrypter. The other 2 are good thoguh
Shrink 3.2 can’t handle the majority of new movies because of ARccOS protection.
I <3 DVDFab platinum. I’ve got a cracked version but I think I’m just going to pay the $50 so I can get updates easily. I haven’t paid for software in probably 5 years but fab is just that good.
i dont even rip dvds anymore, i just download the Hi DEF ver. of them, much easier.
well the goal is to be able to fit a dual layer disc onto a dvd-r. I highly doubt a high def dvd download fits onto a single layer disc. Id rather lose that little bit of quality and burn them on single layer discs than spend 8 bucks a dual layer dvd. Might as well just go buy the original then.
8 bucks on a dual layer dvd?, they are like 2 bucks now, and you lose more than a little quality that way. But what do i know
