im going to events with you, you don’t have a choice. lol.
Ditto.
ADam, you need to get back already, Soup needs some work.
I’m packing up from the beach house now and getting ready to head back 6am sat morning(booooooo)
Chris, when that FR piece comes in the mail stop by with it. I want to find out what version it is and measure the primaries so I can do some reversion comp.
Look what arrived early last week, I finally got around to uploading my shitty cell pics, since Mr. Vlad has my DSLR.
Nice looking manifold you got there son
very nice piece!!
I got it for a steal. Brand new they go for $2299 + shipping from F-R. This is also coated which is a $180 option from them. So at least $2500 manifold, I got for $1750 shipped from Canadia and it’s still brand new, never used in minty condition.
You little bargain shopper you
Sure is, considering the manifold I was planning to make him would have been in the 26-2800 range(due to 321 material cost). He mentioned this to me and I told him to jump on it 100%. FR manifolds are nice hardware and while not perfectly tuned, they’re the closest thing on the market for RB’s in mass produced parts. The cannuck he bought it from was parting out an R32GTR project that I COULD have bought entirely had I known about it a month ago but instead bought the WRX :banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead
After a few hickups in transmission tooling I finished replacing the input shaft and assembled the gearbox this past Friday hours before JVG’s wedding, so I’ll be putting the car back together next week for him. He’ll get some good driving time in on this before I got tearing it all apart this winter, which I’m rather excited to do.
FR mani FTMFW!!!
This is a bad idea IMO. You should never compromise safety, especially when it comes to racing.
So you’re building your very expensive and rare car, the one with expensive and rare body panels, to compete within a rule set from an organization that has maybe 2 events on the east coast all year?
+1.
Im extremely excited hes going to be using this car as it was intended…
But I do somewhat agree. 1 fuckup and your sitting around jerking yourself off for awhile waiting for parts
…twice a year at best. 09 schedule for RTA on the east coast was Jersey and and South Carolina. Quite a schedule to build a Skyline w/ 255s for…
Time trials - NASA, COMSCC, EMRA etc all have a better schedule and format. And the atmosphere is more about competition and less about a bad Sport Compact Car feature article.
Yeah but then it would have to be all safe and stuff. That takes all the fun out of it. I want a series where I can put black wheels with a red stripe on my car.
- Hang out with Drifthustle and I
- Attend AIS event.
- Dirt drop
- ???
- Profit
Do it.
Do you provide the redstripe?
…HURRAY BEER!
you won’t.
