I dunno. I was not aware of any kind of switch.

Won’t a switch just link things together? I need an Ethernet In as well as out.

Most any switch will have an uplink port to connect it to another switch or router.

Ideally, once I get another system built and another laptop, I’ll most likely get a gigabit switch for hard line connections and plug that into my wireless router.
