Public Poll: How hard do you work?

I work a minimum of 50 hrs a week, somedays I feel like I do nothing, and other days I’m so completely exhausted from hiking the whole day. This past Sunday I worked from 7:30 am til midnight.

It’s up and down for me I end up being on call once a month

Our maintenance window is 2am-5am so I end up working weird shifts

But I enjoy what I do

~50 hours per week plus maybe another ~2 on my phone at home…

I’m at work 43 hours a week, turn around 70-75 hours usually, sometimes more sometimes less.

I’m a tech at BMW and I work my ass off. I voted 9.

Well I’m not going to throw a number there because how many hours one works and how hard they work are 2 different things. I can only work 40 unless asked to work ot but I never slack off at work. I don’t work in an office either though. I’m constantly finishing stuff up and asking what’s next.(I’m union to,gasp)

Whatever a full time engineering student with no job counts as. I’m in class for 16hrs a week, and probably another ~10 hrs of homework, give or take a few.

M-F 7-5 sometimes a lot later. I usually bring a lot of work home, and end up working weekends a lot. I am a Project Manager/Estimator for a large site contractor, and if a bid is due, I need to do whatever it takes to get it done. There is no mercy on that lol. It sucks, but there are a lot of perks to the job.

I’d say an 8. Typically 60-70 hours per week including travel time which is spent on the phone. Mostly M-F, but a Saturday about every 6 weeks.

I’m a District Manager.

My bro, Obama pays the bills.

40 hours a week, sometimes more. Usually pretty relaxed in most cases, with it’s hectic moments mixed in.

“how hard to you work”
as everyone answers from work while browsing the interwebs…

My work load is constantly changing and that is what I like about my job. I can pick and choose what bridges and buildings I want to design or redesign. I work 40hrs a week and never bring my work home. If I need to slow things down I just send out RFI’s.

Right now I’m working 20 hours a week, but I am constantly busy. I’d give myself a 5. I am open to finding another job as well.

I do more by 8am by accident than most of you do all day when you’re actually trying.

Don’t suck your dick too much there lol

Full time engineering student and 46+ hrs/week at D&B where i can either play games all day or actually fix stuff if i feel like it.

hmm…40 hour weeks with one day a week from home where I do maybe an hour worth of work unless something comes up…moderate pace when im actually in the office. Then one 80-hour week evcery 3 months that always falls around a holiday and has all kinds of after-hours stuff.

so a 5 for 11 weeks, then a 10 for one. I’ll average that out to a 6.

My job is 8-430, but im usually here 730-5 with a very short lunch break. Im a project manager for a construction company and bid on jobs that come out and then do all the paperwork and material buy out along with running the jobs once we receive them start to finish. Currently Im running 3 jobs and continuing to bid work.

You know I posted in here and my post is missing. Weird.

Anyhow. I’d say a 10 for sure because when I’m not working a regular 40 I’m working at my shop fixing cars, answering questions, giving labor times etc. Emails come to my phone so I’m never disconnected.

I don’t like it though, Life is about living, not working.
