Vinegar smell seems to go away pretty quick. They tell you to spray it on stuff to keep pets off- it stinks at first but after a day you can’t smell it anymore, but they still can.

its been 4 or 5 days since I put the vinegar down. I also dumped a bunch of febreeze on the spot and blotted the carpet with a shamois hoping to absorb some of the vinegar. idk. maybe bc its been so cold it hasnt gotten a chance to evaporate away…

you dilute it and make a water with vinegar combo and spray it on the spot, vinegar kills all the bacterias which cause oder, then you shampoo the spot clean and its done.

ive always been told to put a bowl of vinegar in the car overnight for a couple nights and it should soak up the smells

This works wonders, comes in three fragrances Original, New car sent, and Citrus. Deff. invest in a can of this.

I would hold off on dumping all kinds of random shit on your seat. Febreeze ain’t gonna do shit, as if you don’t already know this. Adding tons of liquid that isn’t capable of neutralizing the odor is just pushing the barf residue and what not deeper into your seat. LOL

For the detailers that gave some tips here…thanks alot. I don’t have puke in the car but my cars smell like my dog and I’ll use your tips to get that new car smell again. :slight_smile:

its not the seat, its the passenger floor in the back. if it was the seat i would have taken it out of the car, disassembled, then cleaned.

Febreeze sucks, it only covers up the smell till it wears off, and it doesnt take long to wear off.
Vinegar stinks.

Try this:

  • Carpet cleaner, use it well, makes sure its worked in.
  • Lysol, a good amount of it, spray it on, then work that on there with a little scrub brush or something.
  • Towel with hot/warm water, wipe it down to get some of the lysol smell out.
    -Carpet cleaner again, to get more lysol smell out.

Do it in this order if you decide to do so.

Lysol doesnt smell perfect but its better than puke and vinegar, and it disinfects, so it works out. Also its strong, so it will more than likely cover it up.
