Not that I really want to get involved in this pissing match but wasn’t it established that some camaros came with the LS6 block? That would mean Andrew’s car is infact numbers matching. Numbers matching only means that the car has the right production code engine in it. It’s not like each serial number is unique to every engine made. Far as I know you can’t track engine X to car Y only production series of blocks, heads and intake and whether or not they were what GM put in vehicle X in years A to F. However He did say that he removed the casting numbers on the heads so that would be an issue from a collector stand point. Either way it’s a car and it’s meant to be driven and enjoyed not stuck in a museum.

it does matter and ls6 cars were mostly in 02 cars when they ran out of ls1 castings, besides that im not arguing the motor but its not the factory ls1 in the 100%slp car is all im sayn along with other missing options. my issue is dont claim you have somthing when its clearly not thier.
