Question abt 5 lug!!

alright, well hope this is not to much of a noob question,
i bought my s14 with a 5 lug conversion already on it owner told me it was R33 front brakes and 300zx in the back. i believe i need to change the wheel bearing cuz my car shakes from the rear (already changed vlsd and axles look fine so im guess it that) so is the wheel bearing a s14 one or do i need to get a 300zx wheel bearing cuz of the conversion??

need to fix that shaking asap guys help me out  thanks

anyone no abt this?

300zx rear wheel bearing if he has the Ebrake hooked up.
It has a spacer integrated into it

Actually, I believe that the 300zx one will with or without 300zx ebrake assembly.

On that not, I’d go with a 300zx NA rear wheel bearings even though I think tt and NA rear wheel bearings are the same.

Dont just go out and replace the bearing on a huntch. If you can feel the car shaking, there will definatly be play in the bearing if thats what it is. Jack up the wheel off the ground and try wiggling the wheel side to side and up and down, if you feel movement both ways then its your wheel bearing.

alright thanks guy,
btw the e brake isnt hooked up…any other idea on what the shaking might be when i did the vlsd axles looked fine but the shaking didn go away lower control arms look alright too…
If you guys no any good mech to take a look at it send me the location i c wah they say abt it

what’s the condition of your wheels? it wouldn’t have hurt to do a wheel swap to double check. could be an rfv issue with the tire, not balance. it happens but then again it could be your bearing so if you haven’t checked out wheels try putting on another pair or even switching the 2 for a bit and drive and see how it feels. very well could be a bearing though…i doubt it would’ve been axle or lsd related.

if it’s your wheel bearing, you’ll most likely hear it. can you describe this “shaking” from the rear?

s14’s came in 5 lug - r33 / z32 brakes bolt on, has nothing to do with the hub assembly itself.

i don’t see why you’d need a 300xz bearing… stock s14 should do.

but, like everyone else said, don’t go and start changing things on a whim - find out exactly what the problem is before going out and buying parts.
