Question for you Audiophiles - amp tuning

I just baught a 600W amp powering a 12" Alpine type R.
I know I could go into detail with the impedance n stuff with the setup but to be honest I dont know all that much about this amp. All I know is that the guy who ran this setup had it perfect before, he installed it in my car but now the EQ is all different.

Whats a good low and high band-pass frequency (or w/e Hz) recommendation?
Or should I bring it to someone?
I tried to tune it myself but I dont have a trained ear for this kind of stuff.

If anyone who knows what they’re doing around hamilton with this subject I’d appreciate any help, maybe I can stop by and we can work it out.

anyways, Thanks

Try to adjust it by your ears bro

your best bet honestly is to have someone come over and tune it with you

it has to sound the way YOU like it. someone else can guide you and adjust it to where you want it to be… but at the end of the day you have to decide what kind of sound you want

the LPF (low pass frequency, which is different from band pass) crossover frequency depends on what equipment you have for mid-bass, mids and highs. it also depends on the slope of your amp’s crossover.

same with the HPF.

start around 80hz for the LPF and move up and down from there to see what your ears like
