Just wanted some input, still new to this stuff so I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some things about my car.
I just got rid of my other two DSM’s I’ve had like 4 or 5 already but never really got into them myself due to lack of a place to really get into it (no garage and not many tools) and got one for now just a '93 Eclipse GS with the 2.0 5 speed. I got it from my friend who took pretty good care of it as did the original owner of it. I got all receipts and such from anything that was done to it too. When my friend had it she’d got into an accident and liked the car enough to pay to have the front end re-done including a rebuild of the motor. Now I’m wondering why when I got I had to have my harmonic balancer replaced along with a belt because of a bolt on the alternator bracket bolt rubbing on the belt. This was all because of driving to work one day not beating the hell out of it I lost power steering from the belt snapping and also having the car overheat on me when arriving to work. I got it back thats all okay so far, but now I’m also wondering why mostly when its colder my idle is all over the place until it gets a little warmer and not only that but the thing thats worrying me the most is my oil pressure. I thought maybe the wrong weight was in there from when it was last drove got it changed and it still drops really low at times even while driving mostly at idle tho.
Another issue I’m having now is loss of brake fluid, this only started after having to get my brakes done to pass inspection, I was wondering what was a good way to check the brake system for leaks or if the the only real thing is to crawl underneath and look which is what I’m going to do today.
So if anyone could give me some good input and whatever else to help me out here I would greatly appreciate it.
