I sold a car yesterday and I took the plates off obviously. I’m pretty sure the kid is registering it today. I am registering my new car on monday. Do I have to go to the DMV and surrender my plates? or can i just wait around til monday and register my new car with my old plates? thnx nick
u should be alright to transfer them in a few days. i cant see why they would penalize you.
well considering the close at 4pm and are closed all weekend, then ur gonna go in on monday, that doesnt really leave them much time to penalize you.
Yes you can do that. Just keep the insurance on it til monday if u really want to be safe…otherwise go to the dmv monday and tell them what u did and all will be well with the world
as long as you have insurence and the plates arent expired all is well
