update, bmw agree to extend March lease numbers for me and looks like i will get the car end of June 
i would not recommend ordering a car to anyone unless you are very patient… since i am one of the most impatient people i know its just very frustrating
my GF ordered a 228i two weeks before christmas with the projected arrival date of last week of jan/first week of feb.
it didnt show up at the dealer until the last week of feb
If I ever ordered a BMW new, I would so do the euro delivery… but i’ll probably never buy a new car again.

I understand your frustrations…this is what I’m going through right now. I let my frustration out a bit on my sales person which said they would be able to do a dealer trade no problem a week ago. I’ve heard nothing other than the dealer they were trying to trade with wants 3 cars for an M3 allocation which is out of the question. Hopefully I’ll know something in the next week when May allocations are out but that’ll push me towards a July delivery. If that doesn’t work I’ll guess I’ll be ordering a 2016.

I really wanted to do this but the timing is off for me. With 2 kids I don’t think I would enjoy it as much as I would hope for. Also after getting the car at invoice with my Vet discount it makes more sense to take a stateside delivery. I really don’t want another car payment but it’s going to be low enough where I can’t complain.
shes less than a year at her Architecture firm and gets VERY little vacation time so that wasnt an option…
that’s when you be a good boyfriend and go overseas to get the car for her.
M3 question…
Who would have thought that in 2015 you could get a Lambo Gallardo way cheaper than some e30 M3s are listed for on Autotrader?!?!?

I mean I love e30 M3s as much as the next guy and I am not a huge Lambo fan but, COME ON. The M3 was a good handling production sedan, that’s it. It is not beautiful, hand crafted or powerful (177hp LOL), etc.
are you going to complain about how $100million Ferarri’s from the 60s are not fast next?
If you will notice, I mentioned more than speed. Comparing a beautiful hand built Ferrari to a 1980s M3 is blasphemy. 
a lot of people will disagree with you… it’s a different era, but the iconic boxed fenders, whole different roofline and other things make it iconic.
For what I’ll be paying for a new M3 I could just get this…

I’m beyond frustrated with BMW’s allocations on the M3’s and ordering process. I ordered 4/15 and looks like I missed my chance at a 2015. I’m on a waiting list for a 2016 which I can order in July. I’m hearing September delivery which is not what I was hoping for. I wanted something for the summer… first world problems. On a more positive note I heard a few changes from the 2015 to the 2016… like some things are going to be standard other than having to choose them in packages. I assume this will increase the price though.
Do you still have a June delivery?
alot of things are standard on the F8X that were options on the E9X so maybe you wont have to pay for certain things.

I actually like the Sakhir Orange interior but I would pick a cinnamon in color over that any day.
Yea tell me about it. The colors they offer now are quite bland IMO. Where’s the darker shade of Blue’s and red’s? I’m almost tempted to spend an extra $5k for the San Marino Blue but I know that’s like shooting myself in the foot on all levels. Payment wise, trade-in time… etc. I almost pulled the trigger on a 2012 e92 M3 (competition pkg) in Lemans blue on Friday.
if i wasnt on a “budget” i would go custom paint, but honestly im pretty happy with how mineral white looks, if there was a red i would be all over it though
