I called my CA yesterday and said scrap the 2015 idea and just put me on the list for a 16. She said she already did a while back just in case and I’m first on the list w/ 4 people behind me.
She called me today and said the 2016 order banks for allocation opened today and she put my order in but wouldn’t hear back on a production # until at least July.
She called me back a little while after that and said they maybe getting a 2015 allocation in the next few days. Don’t get me wrong I’m stoked but after reading all the upgrades the 2016 is getting I’m not sure what to do now. I guess if I can get the car before August maybe? It’s funny though… I called BMW customer service earlier today and bitched about their allocation issue’s on the M3…
my car went 112 status today, hoping it starts getting built by friday
if all goes well i could possibly be in it within the next 6-8 weeks
its a hard decision, im really happy with my $6** lease and i doubt i would get that with a 16 unless i waited until this time next year which im not willing to do
So what’s the term and what would be your residual/ payoff at the end?
If I get the allocation for a 15 I’ll probably do it. Only thing I would regret is the LED tails and the ambient center stack lighting… I know I know… but the pictures of the lighting on bimmerpost look sweet. I suppose both are interchangeable. I think the talk about all the standard features now is of course going to increase the price of the M3. I’m getting the Exe pkg anyways so no worries there. I’ll be bummed if they offer something other than the H&K sound but I don’t foresee that happening.
I really wish I could’ve done this with the wife but with my kids I don’t think it would’ve been as enjoyable. Besides I’ve been able to get invoice/ or close to invoice pricing at a few dealerships so that kinda deters my decision.
Just signed paper work and put a deposit down for a 2015 M3. Status is in 112 so I should get a Vin in the next day or two. Looking at end of July delivery.

so, if I assume it’s a 36 mo lease… and also assume you don’t damage the vehicle outside normal W&T… you’re paying <$25k plus fuel (no cost maint. for bmw,right?) to drive a $70k car for 3 years. That’s a pretty damn good deal. I’m jealous.
So that 66% includes what you put down too and MSD?
I’ve never actually leased a car other than my wife’s that she’s still in. I’m putting about half down on the car so I’m roughly at $32k. So about 489/ month for 6 years. 5 years @1.9% or 6 years at 2.79%.
