Looks like the car went into production this morning… damn that was fast… also got a VIN. Should be here a lot sooner than expected. Mid June delivery.

looks like we will be expecting everything around the same time… sucks i ordered mine 3 months sooner
looking at the shipping schedule there is a very slight chance we can get on the Don Juan, which gives me the slightest bit of hope that I will get my car by July 4th (i am on vacation for that week so timing would be perfect!!)
if not it would likely be the Torino and we would get our cars after July 4th
These are problems that I wish I had. Good for you both. Pics are a must.
I was thinking the same thing when mine went in to production so quick and yours got pushed back…
I’m hoping we get it sooner! I called the BMW hotline and they seem to think no later than end of June
Trust me I still can’t believe I did this or that it was even possible. Hard work does pay off!

we have a slight chance for the end of June but i am not getting my hopes up, it would need to finish production next wednesday to get it any earlier

when my g/f was waiting for her 228i it was so hard to not check that site every other day…of course our biggest holdup was the longshoreman strike
Just called today… mines suppose to end production June 2nd. I can’t see it taking another 4 weeks to get here… but I suppose an abundant of things could go wrong/ hold our cars up.
I’ve only checked the website twice… however I’ve been calling the 800# because they seem to have more information.
As of Monday mine was the first of June
Typically takes a couple days to the port
Port can take 3days up to 2 weeks to be put on a ship
2 week cruise to NYC
A couple days-week at customs
Trucked to your dealer
Dealer has to do pre delivery inpsection
All that info is what I’ve found online and Pete my salesman agreed with those timeframes, in a perfect world he said we could have it last week of june

Dealership is now saying if I don’t finance with BMW they’re knocking $500 off my incentive.
First and last time I’m doing business with Towne.
No way, they can’t do that as bmw incentives don’t require their financing
Worst case finance with bmw and and then refinance immediately with another bank
I can’t help but laugh (at least a little bit) about the fact that you’re buying a brand new M3 (at an already greatly reduced price) and bitching about $500. I see your point, but c’mon man.
Also, you might be able to save more than $500 by financing elsewhere at a lower rate.
Tom it’s not just that… this dealership has been trying to nickle and dime me from the beginning. I’m already outweighing and crunching figures. I’m still buying the car but next time I’ll take my business else where… not really all that upset to bitch about it.

Jrod0187 did your car finish production? My salesman told me that the factory is shut down this whole week, so if yours didn’t finish last week there is a good chance it will sit stil until next Monday
I was just going to ask you what your status was. Mine finished up Monday and no update from there.
I just called a second ago and they said “vehicle has arrived at port awaiting a vessel”
awesome looks like we should both be on the boat next tuesday and here by the end of the month!
