I have no idea actually.
really, me neither, I know my moms motorcycle helmet acctully fits me though, lol
yeah its a small, i belive that or an XS, that all I’m going by I would assume there relitivlly the same
That is a motorcycle rated helmet. You might want to check on the track requirements first. Some require SA2005 rating.
I ended up getting this one last spring from this company:

the only organizations that require SA are usually those where there is wheel to wheel racing… SCCA onyl requires SNell M ratings
I might be willing to sell my Bell M2 Pro for cheap, kinda want to upgrade (PM me)
edit oops sorry didn’t see your post (buy his, cheaper / new vs mine)
PM sent
its not at track requirement I dont belive, but its is for the track days
HJC… cheap, decent helmets… cl-## can be bought brand new for under 150 bucks
Z1R makes helmets for cheap too… some of them are under 100
Shoei and Arai cost alot more, and for a car purpose, i hardly expect quality venting to be that big an issue…
SIMPSON and Bel are the name that comes to mind when i picture car helmets
Freewheeling cycle has always been good to me when buying stuff… just go in and talk to the right people
I have a HJC CS-5 (open face, Snell M2005) from Canandaigua Motorsports, it was about $65
I’m going full face, so much more baller, lol
yea… also so much more uncomfy with no venting, no a/c on, and no wind in your face… for a car… id imagine open face would be more GAY looking, but better for application purposes…
Ie. comfort, venting, periferal vision SUCKS in a car with a full face on… etc etc… food for thought if u plan on running a road course where you will be on the track for more than 2 minutes at a time…
Hmm, your probably right, it seems like alot of people run full face in cars though, i guess i’ll have to try it out for myself, then, i think Im gonna try out the one viper 966 has
Bought my AFX FX-16 from www.motorhelmets.com for less than $90.
Edit: And re: size. I went into a motorcycle shop and tried on ones until I found the size that fit. And FYI, if you are ordering an XS (like I did) you might have to wait a little bit. I was told by the rep that they don’t stock very many in that size. I had to wait about a month for mine to come in.
Saferacer has a great selection of name brands at decent prices. I can’t afford a real fancy helmet, but I insist on a name brand. Strikes me as seriously shortsighted to buy some no-name helmet off eBay, for example. I have used Bell for years. The lower end of their line for a full face is ~$300. Also, they come in sizes big enough to fit my giant head. If you need a helmet, you need a full face helmet, IMHO.
Full face helmet is completely unnecessary in a car. I would go open face.
An open face helmet is a waste of money, ever crash at a race track before? Id rather spend the extra cash and save my face. Then again i wouldn’t bother wearing a helmet without some neck support but whatever.
Edit: Does the car have airbags? If it does a full face might be dangerous in a crash.
