hey guys, i have a 91 hatch on kei offices, as of yesturday it started making a knocking noise/rattling from the driver side quarter in the back. sounds like the same noise i had with my old car when the sway bar snapped. it does it on every bump even if i shake the car by hand i can still hear it. now since i dont have the lock key for the lug nutz i dont have time to take off the wheels and look at it so im gonna have to bring it to a shop to get them off, anyone got an idea what it could be?. also the steering on my car is absolutely terrible, it requires all the force to make a simple turn, 3 point turns/ uturns are impossible and when the wheel is turned too much the back wheels skip im thinking this is due to camber in the back and the coils at the front are not adjusted equaly. any help will be appreciated. thnx guys
Im assuming you got this car http://www.son240sx.org/forums/showthread.php?t=49058&highlight=kei+office Even though the owner didn’t post it in his add im alomost 100 percent this car has a welded diff in it, witch would casue the skipping when you turn sharpe. Also if its hard to turn the car there may be an issue with your power steering.
the skipping i dont mind too much, its the steering and the noise coming from the quarter that are getting to me, my old car (chrysler 300m special) the sway bar was welded to the coil and it snapped and caused all the knocking noise, i clamped it tight and it didnt do it anymore then i got it rewelded back in place. it is the same noise that the s13 is making, might also be a bushing or some other b/s just sucks that i dont have the lock for the wheels so i could take a look at it. as for powersteering im not sure it if has powersteering. and if it does it has been disabled and i need to get it back and working
gets someone to push it side to side probably a bushing in the rear
