I know there is a thread with two responces about this but I couldn’t find any suggestions of places people actually delt with. I need to get the back seat of my car upholstered to match my fronts and The fabric is on its way.
I would like if possible:
-Shop name
-Location
-What you had done
-How much
-Are you satisfied with the work
-Did it take for ever
Please don’t tell me to look in the phone book because I want to see what people opinions are of the work, if they were able to do it, and about how much its going to run (if you supplied the fabric).
what is the difference between re upholstering a seat from a new car or an old car? all they are getting is that seat. Its not like I’m leaveing the car and telling them to redo the whole interior
cutty knows of no such place. i need to find a place to sew up my sunvisors, i recovered them myself but need them sewn shut. boostjunkie will do regal/g-body seats.
our shop had an in house upholstery guy. he does really good work. i dont think he’ll have a problem working on your car. money is money. but he’s been sick lately and i really dont know what’s his deal. lately we’ve been sending work down the street to George Yago Auto Trim. Its on Cochrans mill rd. close to south park. Our shop does quality restorations and I’ve seen the shit that this guy puts our. It looks mint as hell. Well give him a call 412 653 3902. He might be a little pricey.
The guy that is down on babcock blvd, its called north hills seat cover I believe, I had him get me a tonneau cover and he recovered my bosses back seat in his avalanche in a differnet leather and did some of the stitchwork on it, it came out really really nice, but he was a tad bit pricey… but with how nice the work was, I wouldn’t mind… There is also a place I know of on Washington Blvd right between like 5th avenue and the highland park bridge, its across the street from the U-Haul, its an Automotive interiors place, I’ve heard nothing but good things froma couple street rodders I know that had interiors done there.
I told you that I could do it, but it wouldn’t look as professional and you would probably need a hell of a lot more cloth because I’d probably fuck it up the first couple times. :hs:
