anyone know anything about this? if the coilover uses a strut housing and its stock length could i just put some bilstien sport shocks in them?
i was told an offroad shop could do it for me, anyone know of a local offroad shop capable of this?

ARe you talking about cartridge struts?
i dont know if the coilovers use cartriges. they are jamex coilovers. if that helps anyone. the fronts are soft, but dont leak.
i am just figuring the piston needs pulled out, and and oil change, etc…
If the sleeve is removeable, then with the right shim/sleeve rest combo you could technically put another shock in them, provided the shocks can handle whatever spring rate you have. As for the rebuilding part, the piston is probably fine. I’d bet the shim/stack washers (the valve) is what is failing. 99/100 that is what goes anyway. Yours aren’t external reservior are they?
