Ok, lets try this again. Gave up on fixing the old faithful.
Recomend me a good setup. Prefer to build as much as possible for under $500. Will need mobo/proc/ram/vid card (and probably a new PS, old one is only 380W).
Have my own SATA HDs, CDRW I’ll swap.

well i dont think you will be able to build a core2duo for that price. i mean u prolly can, but ram and vid card will suffer.
u use it for anything in particular or do u just not want it to be out of date soon?

^ very true, you’re not gonna get cutting edge hardware but you can get a hell of a nice system. Hell, I bet that 380w PS would do just fine depending on what you need the machine to do
are you just using it for internet/music and shit? or any 3d stuff?

wow, thats a really good price on ram. the clock speeds on that proc. arent as high as they could be, but its still a great performer

This card is a fantastic deal,as long as you’re not set on NVIDIA cards.Smokes the 7600 performance wise and you definitely wouldn’t need to upgrade for a longer period of time.
Nope, I’ve got an ATI card now… I never get hung up in all the this and that because 99 times out of 100 I’d rather just buy new stuff than OC… I’m el lazy at the computer.
More expensive now, and it’s not sit inside at the computer because it’s cold season, so it’s hard to justify :-p
