FYI that front pipe/cat carries a 8yr/80,000 mile manufact. waranty as per epa law. this may be why you cant find an aftermarket one.
That’s true, however, the warranty will not cover rust damage, right? i am sure the cat itself is in tip-top condition.
they do cover rust…
anything pre cat is covered…
how much custom fabbing do they do? everything?
as far as test pipes go
Legally, they can not remove cats. But they can pretty much make anything you want.
EDIT: Even then a high-flow cat isn’t that much.
I have every exhaust sys done there, and i have an exhaust on every car i own.
I was really happy with them. They give you a lot of options, and they’re honest. They worked with me when I wanted to piece together a cheap exhaust for my beater. No issues whatsoever. It’s nice being able to just drive in without an appointment too.
While we make full exhausts for people and IC piping etc., for little stuff like what you had going on I send people over there all the time. They’re good guys and their pricing is usually extremely fair.
my problem is my header is longer than a stock gsr header, but the catback is positioned stock where it should be, so im not sure if a highflow cat would work
ill prob just end up getting an adjustable one then oh wellz
i havent mocked anything up yet, too cold out
Glad to hear you got it fixed ok
while this is still active. Anyone know if they do full stainless steel piping?
I’m looking to get a single pipe exhaust in stainless if possible, High flow cat, resonator and muffler 1-2 out.
Suppose I could call them when the time comes. But just asking while the thread is still warm.
:eekdance:
I have to keep this in mind then. Is this universal for most car manufacturers? I wonder what’s Honda’s policy on this.
yes any car.
And you are not required to be the original owner.
last nov. i had 2 cats replaced for free by honda on a 2001 passport with 75,000 miles on it. about $2,000 worth of cats (retail)
I also talked them into a muffler being it was full of cataylist substrate
Yes, I just had them weld in a new bung into my stainless downpipe, fab up a 3 foot extension with a high-flow cat, and weld new hangers on to my stainless cat-back so it would fit on my car.
Yeah stainless steel piping with mild steel MIG wire
Any other suggestions for a place that does full stainless?
I know there is a place in Rochester that deals with stainless. But I’d like to keep it in western NY
