recovery vs restore CD

I purchased my laptop and would like to do a fresh install of Vista. BEFORE I do this, I want to know if the Recovery CD that was included is the same as a Restore CD. I am almost positive it is not, and be that as it is, what are the differences. My primary objective is to wipe the system’s slate clean of all the bloatware that will undoubtably come with it. I am not as tech savvy as I would like to be, but i’m sure someone on here is.
Am I better off going to UBit/micro and picking up a copy of Vista for the reinstall? or will I be just fine going thru program by program and deleting the bloatware one at a time.

Recovery usually is hte drivers and OS to reinstall your laptop.

A restore cd usually brings your PC back to a previous state using system restore.

What you can do is customize Windows how you like…delete all the bullshit on there, then make an image of the drive…boom done…

I recommend Acronis to do so, as it backs up EVERYTHING.
