Recycling ~ Sewickley Municipal Building ~

Recycling Day will be held Saturday, May 13, in Sewick-ley behind the municipal building on Washington Street.

Hazardous materials are not permitted.

Accepted items:
Oil and antifreeze (in separate containers)
Lead/acid batteries from cars, motorcycles and boats
Passenger and light truck tires, $2. No rims. (not to exceed 18 inches)
(No large truck tires or off road tires.)
Items with or without freon will be accepted:
Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, freezers and other freon items, $15
Dishwashers, hot water tanks, dryers, washing ma-chines and stoves at no charge
Reusable building materials items accepted:
Cabinets, plumbing fixtures
Windows (no broken glass, no aluminum storm windows)
Doors (no broken glass, no rotted or split wood)Latex paint (only) in quantities of no less than a half gallon (no rusty cans.)
Concrete blocks, glass blocks and bricks
Lumber (no individual pieces shorter than four feet, no areas that are rotted or stained with oil, grease or dirt)
Tiles, hardware, hardwood flooring, counter tops
insulation, shingles/siding, light fixtures
Carpet (no worn out areas or stains)

Unacceptable Materials:

Old, out-of-code electrical products
Items with exposed lead paint
Items that are missing major parts, like cabinets without the doors.
Asbestos siding and tiles

how do you get to sewickley? I got about 10 gallons of oil I need to get rid of.

pm fshowcars or vwcabby,they need it for heat in the winter!

wtf? if it’s not worn out or stained then why would i be throwing it out?!?

where are you at? we take waste oil, as long as it’s not mixed with coolant/water…
