Well, first i got to get it running (probably tomorrow). To be honest this car is basically done, maybe get JDM bumpers so I can shave the 120lbs of bumper supports. Probably more suspension, but I won’t spend money on making it look good unless I do another swap like an SR20.

are you guys talking about Chris Dempsey? I worked for years with his Wife…was pretty close to her. Chris did some work to my V6 camaro before it was turbo…his wife hooked me up and after i met chris, he hooked me up with some sweet deals.
last time I was there he was talking about dropping a S2000 motor into his carolla…dont know if he actually went through with it. Havent been back there in over a year…

As for more news on the AE, finally got it to idle right ~1000rpm, better than ~2400rpm this morning.

off a AE92 (later gen corolla) Had to cut out the corner for the door. Was in 8 pieces, just ziptied them together because my car looks like butt and I don’t care
painted and mounted with sheet metal screws… didn’t turn out great, but not terrible.

driving it around finally got the alternator all spliced in. Still won’t rev beyond ~5300… suspect it is a interference issue with a signal wire.
Too bad my car is so ugly. no wait… they both are. At least his is fast.

Damonspeeds… I’m trying to find someone to weld my diff (or get a spool). All i can do is clutch kick out of corners and it’s really lame.
nonetheless I’ll try to get action shots the next time it rains. In the mean time, I have to say if you get an 86. AGXs + swifts aren’t bad at all, definitely equivalent to coilovers. handles GREAT. Good value.
