oh god. fuel pump just died.
picking up one tomorrow comes with a free fuel tank.
*EDIT new pump in, back up and running. Had to get it done before my wisdom teeth come out tomorrow.
Finally figured out why it wasn’t revving past 5k. IT turned out to be these things called trim pots which edit where the megasquirt triggers spark from on a sin wave. So if you turn on a certain direction it will make the MS pick up the peaks of the wave signal. blah blah blah, anyways although i already fiddled with them, apparently it was not enough, so I tried again today and VRoooooooooooooooom all the way to 7k. Finally the ITBs can make music.
I’ll probably set the finally rev limit at 8-9k. :lol
Good $hit man! What’s the powerband like on these engines? Are you running more aggressive cams (sorry if you already mentioned this, I am lazy to look it up)?
no aggressive cams here. I don’t feel like the car needs more power… it’ll always be slow. But now it revs to 8,000 all day long though ;D
Here is a dyno chart of a Blacktop 20v, should be very similar in the current setup.
So, I leave for school Tuesday most likely the car will sit until I come back for break, prepped it by filling the tank and doing an oil change. I’ll just start planning for next summer when I can finally really drive this guy and finish all the little things.
Problems to tackle
-grinds 2nd
-combination switch is loose/broken
-starts funny, backfires then wheezes then starts (everytime)
-tach is registering 1/2 the rpm (coilpack’s tach output wire straight to the guage cluster)
-needs a gts rearend and LSD
-exhaust leaks into the cabin through the shifter hole
-fender/door jam
-paint sucks
-tail light is cracked
-no method of checking oil pressure
damn you and your 8K motor. lucky if i get 7. lol looks good, call me when your back in town.

The 240’s battery died so a new one should arrive Monday.
Anyone know a good place to buy tires? Don’t hate but looking for Federal 595s, so keep that in mind. For now I’m just going to steal some beat rt615’s off a friend

I’m going to order off tires-easy. Edge didn’t have federals, and their nexens were a bit overpriced. I’m not sure what size yet (for now i’m just using 225/45/17 beat up rt615s). Yeah hopefully it’ll be all pretty for the activity fair.
Wheels/Car looks good man, what size tire do you want to install on them?

I want to lower it, but my coilovers are stuck. I’m okay with being a little high up front, considering the roads around here :runaway.
*225/45/17 basically what’s on it now, I need to roll the fenders already it’s cutting up the tire pretty good in the back, any wider and I’ll have to get flares or overfenders.
240’s looking nice
more negative camber would help that, plus a good fender roll cant hurt. if there isnt any mud in the quarters do a roll and stretch. looks ill on s13’s

Well the the Federals are on the way. Same size, but I’ll see where they end up, I think the Azenis are wider than most 225s. If I still need to roll, oh well, I don’t want more negative camber, I think it looks retarded when you have rear camber past 4* (VIP) and there’s already a good amount out back if you look at the last pic.
This is dumb. The car is nice, but I wish the rear wasn’t so :gay
I know just enough to clear the camber won’t even look close to that, but I don’t have adj camber links in the back. So I’m just gonna roll.
