RedSSNA and myself were out cruising in his Cobalt. (2.4 with I/H/E/Tune) Upon leaving a toll both on XXXXX, we notice this white BMW to the right of us. The BMW driver proceeded to leave the tolls in a very quick manner for a toll booth, but not with out giving us a complete stare down. We continue a fairly steady speed slowly gaining on him. It seemed like he might have slowed down a bit to try and play around. Well needless to say there was a car to be got around first. RedSSNA proceeded to pass the car, with a BMW now in hot pursuit. After getting a head of traffic, we hoped over to the right lane and slowed to 60ish. The BMW proceeded to pace us. After pacing each other for a few seconds, RedSSNA grabbed 3rd gear and proceeded to take off. Of course the BMW owner that his German engineered 6 cylinder was up for the challenge. He got in to the gas about the same time. By the top of third, the BMW’s front bumper was at the Cobalts door. A quick shift 4th netted what seemed like another 1/2 car if not another car length. Shutting down around 90, the Cobalt had what looked like 1.5-2 car lengths. BMW proceeded to continue on and pass us not even looking back. I think he was ashamed that his BMW got beat by a Chevy.
