Registration open for April, May and June Track Days!

Haha Kent skipped a gate when there was no marshalls  Just kidding, yeah he laid down a couple of damn good times there at the end. fucker. haha

The day was awesomeā€¦ definitely looking forward to the next one. Thanks to all the organizers of thisā€¦ Aaron, Dave, Kris, et allā€¦ AWESOME job!

Shit man, this one was a bit disorganized by our standards, but hey, just wait until we get into the swing of things!

As a note to all looking here, the timing gear worked fairly well, although the program seems to have a memory leak and crashes after too many runs are made. So, all we have to do is save and restart the program after each collective group goes and weā€™re OK. Make sure to watch out for more fun events to come in the future!

and by the way,

we are starting a new fund raiser.

It is going to be called Oh Mike you so fine, you so fine, you blow your car sideways, oh mike.

with the total of the fund raiser, we are getting mike a set of 19x12ā€™s in the rear and a bucket of super glue instead of tires.

Kris : When do you think the times will be up by ? Thanks.

Most fun Iā€™ve had in car in years!

Thanks to the organizers and all participants.

I showed up late for my first track day ever, got out on the track and mostly just drove around wondering where I should turn. (The rules were explained, I just couldnā€™t figure it out on the fly!) I parked my car, knocked on somebodyā€™s window and asked for a ride along. Dvoryk (is that spelled right?) grinned and told me to jump in, and showed me the course in fine style. Thanks man!

Rage, thanks for the helmet loan. My wife couldnā€™t wipe the grin off her face. The two runs I took her on were my best two of the day!

Thatā€™s just a couple examples. This was a great introduction to a great club.

Cheers,
Dan

What makes me more happy than anything, is that people are happy with the event. Not too many complaints that I heard of. :partyman:

Glad you had a good time

I am posting under my bros Id because i cant seem to log in under canadar32, Mods please Helpā€¦ anyways, kick ass event, i met so meny nice people. a big thanks to GTR dad, wow that was so much fun on the ride along. thanks to all the JDM guys i had a blast. i need to start getting out on thusday!

i learned so much today, necc your the reason why i could not thank you enuff. maybe next time i will post some decent lap times.

Dallas D

Thanks to all the guys who showed up. The event was awesome. I have all the times on my computer. Iā€™ll compile and post them all tonight. And Kent, thanks for beating the Honda and Subarus!

That was sucha fun event, definatly worth thr trip down. Next time hopefully I will have new rubber (boo re92ā€™s) and new brakes with that I should be able to pull a couple seconds faster. I am very pleased with my times, my first timed run of the day was 1:45 and my very last lap was 1:30.

Thank you guys very much for such a fun event and I am sure we will be making the trip again sometime soon.

::EDIT:: one more thing, whoever that was that was taking pictures on the track aorund the corners, if it is possible can I get the pictures of my car(the light blue wrx)? If so can you send them to my email --> dillon . pisak @ gmail . com

Thank You

And the Festiva!!!

Dan

Yeah the Festiva out their really proved how much driver skill is a factor! I never would have guessed a 1.3 litre driven by a 16 year old would have come within seconds of our fastest cars. I canā€™t wait to see him drive in a really fast car.

So did times keep dropping as the track straightened out through the day? :? I know I turned a 1:28 with a tiny bit of tail sliding keeping my revs up through the slower 2nd gear corners, but people were picking up the pace for sure.

Thanks again for the event guys, 'twas lots of fun. :E

hahahahā€¦ note to self: Throttle steering through a chicane doesnā€™t work as well as you think it doesā€¦

And I think a better fundraiser would be to save up $40 for a boost controller for the Turkish Torpedo :partyman:

Everyone get those pics up!

Nice to see everyone enjoyed the event. The ones coming up will be much, much betterā€¦especially when the wind isnā€™t busy ā€œmodifyingā€ the course.

Oh and another tip. I think you should make marshalling mandatory. People sitting in their cars and napping while others have to bust their asses covering extra area is BS. If people want to drive then they have to get out there and shag cones.

Cash on the barrelhead is a good motivator. If you get your marshalling check mark you get your 20 bucks back.

Maybe a 5 second penalty would work better. Hmmmmā€¦
