Ya, at my g/f’s last night… her drive way is on a slant, i always set my e-brake when i park… well last night i go to leave and am like “wtf is my car?” i look and its accross the road, it hit a cement pillar, knockin it over. when i got in the car the ebrake was still on… pretty shit… so i will always leave it in gear now.

im sorta sick of everyone saying its just a ford…well an audi is a vw…a cattilac is a chevy…a acura is a honda… a lexus is a toyota…jeez sorry off topic a bit but it gets annoying after a while
if it was an s type then i would say its definitely just a luxury ford but its an x type so i cant hate too much

Um the X-Type is just a ford mondeo. How can you hate on the more expensive S-Type and not on the less expensive ford based X-Type. My dad has an S-Type by the way and its a huge peice of shit. He can’t wait to get rid of it. He has had X-Type loaners before and they suck almost as bad, but i guess its a little more tossable, but they still both suck. Just my opinion

Well sort of, see Jaguar was its own company with no influence from Ford, then they got bought and their product has become less quality items, but I have a hatred towards jaguar to begin with. where as most of the other things you have described are parent companies that spawned a “better” more luxurious line up. Ie. Lexus, Infiniti, Audi
Um the Ford Mondeo is a fine car to base 3 other cars on.
We aren’t talking about an ES250 or a Cadillac Cimarron.
If Ford hadn’t purchased Jaguar, there would be no Jaguar today. And forget all the other crap they have done (introduced a V6 to replace the I6, for example), the XJ simply a work of art. In a class where BMW has to use electronic gizmos to get a car to move the way they want it to, Ford/Jaguar have made a car that is pretty pure. It’s enough for me to forgive them for giving us the rebadged stuff.
