Remote Start 5-spd

I’ve got a 93 civic. I installed an ebay special alarm/starter combo. Alarm is all wired up, remote start is all wired up, how the heck to I get it to bypass the clutch? Puh puh puh please help.

when u depress the pedal it should trip a switch, get under there and look. If thats the case, just jump the switch.

I’ve wanted to do this for my Kia… the only reason I didn’t is because I was told that it might not be that great of an idea to try and bypass the clutch.

well its def not a good idea. one time i worked on my buddies integra(has remote start). finished the car and left it at his house. I always leave my cars in gear, so i did the same with his without thinkin about remote start. So he started the car in the morning and went outside and found it plastered to a pole in front of his house. OOOOOPPPSSSSSSYYYYYYYY, yeah he needed a new fender and bumper after that one.

^^^thinking of that visual makes me giggle, but if it was me i would be pissed

yeah the dude wasnt happy, thats for sure

EDIT: when he told me that, i laughed my ass off and told him hes a retart for remote starting a 5 spd. I ripped the alarm out of my z for that reason. my dad didnt want me sending the car through the garage so he made me put the clutch safety back on. and since my car doesnt have power locks(stupid actuator locks), i saw no point in having it. btw, car came with the alarm

well on most cars the cluch switch is activated by grounding it. so look at your alarm and see what wire will complete the ground in the starting process. also make sure that it is set for 5 spd so it wont start and drive away on ya.

How does the manual tranny mode work? link to a manual?
