Has anyone ever removed this window? I need to take it off Bing’s parts car and put it on my friends car (the one that got trashed)… I see one screw… somehow I think there is more to it… anyone done this before??
The fixed pain is exactly that - fixed (using super-strong adhesive). You have to tear off all of the trim around it and hope and pray that it won’t crack when you try to pull it out.
Just go to a pro to get it replaced. It’s not that expensive.
the window costs $225, he can have mine for $25 if he can get it off…
perhaps a heat gun will help break down the adhesive?
i know that these things are a paint to take off.
Yes use a Heat Gun min 1500watts.
Thats the only way she’ll come off.
I’ve heard guitar string??? just incase I can’t get a heat gun
Good luck gettin the guitar sting inbetween the window and the frame.
I will work but i wouldnt know where to start the string.
I guess I’ll find out :fingersx:
You are suposed to use music string piono or guitar. Stick a knife through a the urathain adheasive and make a hole that you can fit the string through. put the string through and put vise grips or somrthing to hold the each end of the string(so you don’t cut your hand). The move around the window with a sawing motion.
sweet… Wonder if pops will notice he is missing a string!
Ok… for people that may have to do this in the future… take the time and rent a heat gun. there are these little ‘things’, I have no idea what they are, placed throughout the trim under window in the glue… the string does not go through them. they are these little pieces of red plastic. And my knife got stuck in there! that is some good glue! I got it out eventually, but I managed to cut my thumb twice  .
Thanks for the help
