Replacing s13 engine mounts?( how)

Hey,

I need to replace my s13 engine mounts and was wondering if its an easy job or if a mechanic should do it? If it is a easy job what would the procedure be to replace it? Any suggestions or opinions would help.

Thanks

It is a very easy job…

  1. You will need a floor jack

  2. A 14mm socket and wrench will be the only tool you need

  3. Loosen and remove both the top nuts on the motor mounts

  4. Place a block of wood (2x4) under the crank pulley

  5. Use jack on said piece of wood to raise the engine off the threaded section of the motor mount

  6. Once engine is off mounts, remove bottom nuts off mounts

  7. Replace mounts and follow directions backwards for install.

yeah, just what blue said. very easy job to do.

just follow those directions. its definitly a easy job save ur self the labour money.

might be hard to pull off the mounts, i literally had to stand on the engine and rock it side to side. do what you gotta do. brute force and ignorance is your friend
