resetting adjuster screw on steering rack?

long story short, i hit a curb a while back when i hit a patch of ice. replaced all parts that needed to be replaced and also got a used rack. brought car in for alignment and i think they messed around with the adjuster screw because at first the wheel wouldn’t return or it wasn’t centered and it felt stiffer than normal.

so here are the pics:

does anyone know how to reset the adjuster screw on the rack without this tool that they use? If there is no other way, would anyone happen to have this tool? however, i’m assuming i would turn the screw counter-clockwise a cm to two, to allow less pressure (meaning less stiff) so it would go back to how it was before. the feeling is very nice and excellent for road racing. you get immediate feedback and no play in the steering, but for drifting its bad (stiffer= slower counter steering, and esp at full lock)

thanks

they’d have to be a crummy shop to touch that set screw… normally those are set by the factory that (re)built the rack and never touched again
