Gerald Celente Predicts Economic Armageddon by 2012
Mr. Celente goes on to say: “We are going into a Great Depression. By 2012, there will be massive unemployment, Bank holidays, ghost malls, civil unrest, food riots, and a tax revolution”.
Having lived in the lap of luxury for too long, many Americans have de-evolved into arrogant, rude, greedy and obnoxious people.
And now we’re going to pay the price for that behavior.
I’ve been saying it for the past at least 18 months or so that in the nearish future we are going to all see some crazy shit. The world just has this sort of feeling of unrest like were on the brink of something major happening and something big is going to trigger almost a sort of reset button to be pressed on the US when all is said and done.
all I got out of that was “blah blah blah I don’t know what I’m talking about” I couldn’t get past the first 15 seconds…
And speaking of Armageddon, isn’t the earth supposed to blow up or get hit by a meteor or some nonsense one of these years? Cuz I’m pretty sure the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 so were all going to die then anyway…right? Well that’s what the EXPERTS say anyway!
You are among those few people who actually have their finger on our nation’s declining pulse, and can sense what’s going on.
In the world financial arena, Mr. Celente is a respected World Economics Forecaster (which you would have known, had you bothered to watch the entire 3:43 video).
All that Mayan/meteorite junk is something else altogether.
Your right it is something else altogether, but the bottom line its just another person who claims he knows whats going to happen and when, IMO there is NOBODY who can predict the future and what, where, when, why and how its going to happen. Just my $0.02!
Too many said ‘experts’ have made too many ‘predictions’ over the years for anything to be believed whole heartedly. His forecast is based on current market trends alone and he is using a very ‘small’ window in the grand scheme of things. The US economy has always had ups and downs throughout its history. This is really no different from the rest aside the fact that it’s effecting us now and we care. There are too many way smart people in way important places to let the entire US fall to utter shit. No matter how much we may rag on the higher ups in gov’t and finance they are there for a reason. Albeit political bs or whatever, they have a plan to try to get this thing turned around. As the old saying goes ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’…nor will the US economy. I’m rambling now…bye
If that were true we wouldn’t be in the position we are in now.
I do agree with you on the first part of your post though. There will always be ups and downs and since it has been happening since the beg, then you could almost say its the “natural” cycle. It’s when someone starts changing shit drastically that you need to sit back and start wondering.
What ‘position’ are we in now? The avg. employed person in NYS got a 3% raise from last year. Gas prices are down. Unemployment isn’t far off of the average of where it’s always been in our state. Would you rather the media say we’re doing well and gas prices be at $4.50 a gallon? Perception is a real mother fucker. I tell you what, if people think they were better off 3% poorer and with $2/gal higher gas prices with media swooning them then power to them. The truth of it is a lot of companies have had bad business practices for years and now they’re panicing and paying for it. Fuck them, let them die on the vine. GM hasn’t made a product anyone has wanted in decades. Yet they think they deserve billions upon billions of dollars? It’s the companies responsibility to provide a desirable product. People will spend money if there are things they WANT on top of what they NEED in day to day life. It’s the highers ups responsibility to regulate these companies, which I feel is what is ‘happening’ now and people are getting all nervous. When in reality such a small % of people are effected by the paper chasing BS that is the stock market. A lot of people form opinions based on media reports which is unfortunate. These are the people who are probably currently fleeing in despair due to the Swine Flu Pandemic…give me a god damn break.
seriously… What is with people always making these doomsday predictions? Ive been laid off twice in the past month and a half yes… And yet like 3 days after leaving one job i find my next one. Its not really THAT bad. People were saying the same thing in the 17 and 1800’s. Actually pretty much every civilization has had its “hard times are comin” We’re relatively young for a nation still. We havent seen half the shit other ones have. We dont really have THAT many national disasters. We’re not PLAGUED by war, we’re hunting down some people in a couple countries. Thats childsplay compared to most places. our gas prices are some of the cheapest in the world yet we complain. THE END OF THE WORLD IS NOT COMING! kthxbaigaiz
The only reason we havent felt the affect of the crisis yet is because of the stimulus package. And the rise in unemployment thus far is a serious issue. It only has to go up 1% to have a significant impact and I think we’re up 2-4% over average right now in NYS.
This isnt just going to blow over. America has some very serious long term financial problems that are going to bury us.
