Review: Sylvania Silverstar Ultra

[quote=“IntegLS94,post:10,topic:24398"”]

i was not happy with my silverstars… i mean dont get me wrong they were brighter than stock, but they lasted 5 or 6 months and that was it. Same thing happened to my roommates pair as well. Nice light just arnt very long lasting in my experiences.

i agree, i have 9003’s and only got about half a year out of them…

watch putting them on your snowmobile your stator is very weak in all sleds so if you start loosing the heat in the hand grips pull them out a new stator cost me $100 but i still have the silverstars in they look mint!!!

mine are 9007’s and i get about 1 1/2-2yrs on it, pretty much what i expected of them, just changing the bulbs in my car is a a real pita.

My wife has had the regular Silverstars in her car for over a year now and they seem to be doing fine.

Yeah I posted a pic of my truck showing the difference between normal silverstards and Ultra’s But incase you missed it

On the Left is the new Ultra’s… On the right normal Silverstars

+1 on the regular SS’s longevity, going at over three years. If you don’t wipe the bulbs clean, they’ll burn out from hot spots. :dunno:

these are the regular stars on my car
