I was browsing the Highway Traffic Act.
Like most people I was told that I need a “sign” or something to indicate my car is RHD, I just believed it (though I NEVER did put a sign)
Well I just searched the HTA on the MTO website
And it this is all it had to say about RHD:
Vehicles with right hand drive
63. Every vehicle that is equipped with a right hand drive shall, unless it is equipped with a mechanical or electrical signal device as described in subsection 142 (6), have prominently displayed on the rear thereof, in bold face letters of not less than 50 millimetres in height and of a colour which is in contrast to that of the vehicle, the words,
“RIGHT HAND DRIVE VEHICLE”.
NOTE the part about subsection 142, that has to do with signaling.
Therefore, if your turn signals/brakes etc do not work you need the sign. If they DO work then you don’t need ANYTHING at all.
