This thread makes no sense to me because those aren’t two vehicles that should be cross shopped. It’s like saying you can’t decide between a 5 series and a 350z. Completely different vehicles.
Silverado:
Real truck. Real frame. Will tow haul lots of stuff without breaking a sweat or it’s transmission/suspension. Real truck gas mileage, real truck ride and handling. One of the better full sized real truck options based on recent reviews.
Ridgeline:
Minivan in truck’s clothing. It has a bed and will haul that big thing that you buy at Target/Lowes that won’t fit in your car’s trunk. It’s rated for 5k towing, but doesn’t tow 5k well from what I’ve read. Rides and handles like a minivan because at heart it is a minivan. One of the best trucks if you only need a psuedo truck, or “trucklette”. I’m seriously considering it’s sister vehicle, the Pilot, as a replacement for my Expedition since I don’t have the need for more than about 3500lbs towing.
