Anyone have any experience with a AMT hardballer pistol or sako rifles? Was offered to buy one of each.
For some reason ive had an urge to shoot production, but I love limited and my Sti too much. I might build a carry optics gun though to give that a try.
This thread needs updating. Got my hunting license this past fall and went out for the first time. Really enjoyed it, even with some inclement weather. Saw some possible deer but in the end, just not big enough for the taking. Got me more involved in shooting and such again and as a result, took an “introduction to personal carry course” and plan on submitting my request for unrestricted in the coming weeks. I also liked how my hunting partner and his dad didn’t carry around bulky and unwieldy shotguns, so I copied them and will be picking this up tomorrow afternoon.
Ruger Super Blackhawk. 7.5" barrel, stainless. Bought on armslist.com, brand new in original box, never fired. It’s going to get an Ultra Dot sight and Hogue grips. Will end up somthing like this.
This should punch a hole through the target, another one in the tree behind it, and another one in another target. I shot my buddies. Less recoil than I expected but you definitely know your not pulling on a 9mm.
Oops, forgot to mention, .44 magnum-“the most powerful handgun in the world”. Well, not really but I like to stay on the quiet end of this one.
That’s a nice pick up. I’ve been unrestricted for a while but don’t carry much do to work. The gun store right by work has a .357 1911, I know if I walk in I’ll leave with it.
Course taught me carrying without unrestricted is not illegal, but want to get it done right anyway. I know what you mean. Me walking into a gun store is like an alcoholic browsing in a liquor store.

Well, kind of been on a path back into shooting sports since starting hunting last year. Been keeping my eyes open for decent deals on rifles. Been looking to pick up new calibers and not doubling up on existing calibers. Here’s what I’ve picked up within the last couple months.
Savage .243 with bull barrel and muzzle brake. Came without a scope and had a basic crappy paint job on the stock. Thought about having it dipped but could never find a pattern I was thrilled with and it sounded like it might be a pain in the ass. Rustoleum has a few colors in their Camo line and with some bush branches, leaves, and about an hour or so I made my own pattern and I really like the way it turned out. Put a couple boxes of ammo through it and really like how this shoots.
Browning 7mm Remington mag, A-bolt. Snagged this as it sits at a local auction that was set up online. Needs a little cleaning and maybe some attention. Sent 10 or so rounds through it yesterday. Needed a little scope adjustment but not bad. Definitely has a little kick but nothing too offensive.
Howa .22-250. Found this on Armslist Saturday night and sealed the deal with the seller yesterday. Should see it this week. Brand new, never fired with bi-pod. Comes factory Cerakoted in their Highland Camo pattern with Nikka scope. Never heard of Howa but they’ve been around for awhile. Japanese company who has done some production for Weatherby as well. Good reviews in this rifle. Don’t think I found one negative. Supposedly one of the best value guns you can get for the money. Really looking forward to this one.
