i would concider it, if we had a group rolling out
You mean lapping day, not race. Start tossing the R word around and you have something completely different. Website with all the info.
Yea its a fun day. no offical race.
i would like to get a big group together to go out there. i think they will give us a price break if we have a huge group. so far there are 2 of us. we could meet up somewhere for breakfast or something.
Myself and two of my friends have been planning on running… weather permitting. We will know better this time next week.
It’s a fun track. This is the last time I was there two years ago.

this my first time ever tracking my car. we’ll see how i do i guess. i really wanna go
eric…saw the car on the left (burgundy?) at the last flat out day at beaverun…i take it he’s a friend of yours?
i noticed the racing seats, but couldn’t tell if the car was track prepped.
Yup, it’s my friend Eric. The car is a 1970 Chevelle. It’s not “track prepped” however it is modified enough to make it very track worthy. The car attracts plenty of attention at the track because it looks great and it’s not something you typically see running around a road course. We had some fun laps running together this past weekend.
So does everyone know to be courteous and stay to the right if a faster car wants to pass you and all that? i dont want anyone being a jerk and causing people to get mad. we need to make a good name for us PA folks. we know those ohio people hate us enoug already. lol
wow, I never even knew this place existed! The track pavement itself looks kinda broken up though, is it?
Watch my video. Passing is only allowed on the front and back stretch and only when the slower car/driver gives you a point by. The slower car is to move to the right and the driver must point out the window indicating its ok to pass.
thanks for correcting my mistake. i was thinking it right but wrote it wrong. hate when that happens.
are you allowed to have ur windows down? i heard the wind noise in ur video
Most every track I’ve been to has a windows down policy. Though I know in some cases you can leave them up, just depends on where you are. I prefer down so in case of a accident, thats one less window for my helmet to bounce off of and less shattered glass to deal with.
As for the track surface yea Nelsons is a little bumpy, nothing I’d worry about. Its been mostly repaved a few times in the past couple of years, I’ve never had a problem with it.
Eric was right on with the passing. Basically if a car caught up to you, point him by as soon as its convenient for you. If the car passing isn’t as powerful, lift a little and help him on by. Again its not a race, no reason you should be side by side at the end of the straight.
Wish I had time to make it out there, I’d like to cruise my bucket around a road course on of these days.
Really? I had no idea about this at all, the only thing i ever hear about nelsons ledges is how its a local drug fest when they have concerts there
I’m out for Saturday unless the weather improves.
