Did anyone get a chance to go to this? You got 5 Min with the 05’ Mustang GT on Trail Mountain. Kinda shitty in my opinion… the car was good and all (minus the automatic jive) and i love the track… but it was the 5 min that sucked. I averaged 1’45. / 1’46. a lap X2 thats about 3’30 for two laps… than you get about 1’30. to atempt another fast lap but you know your not going to be able to finish the lap. POOP! they should have made it 6 min so you can at least get 3 laps in per turn. What were your lap times?? My best lap was 1’45.179 and i recall the fastest lap at the time was 1’42.
My best friend, Marin, won the $1,000 1st place with 1:39.6.
My brother and this guy eat, sleep and play GT4. They would’ve likely tied had my brother been there. Now that my bro’s found this out, they’re gonna see if he can get into the championships with Marin as well somehow.
Marin told me his hands were shaking after the whole thing, because there was one other person relatively close to his times there.

I was in the 1.39’s on my 4th lap. Couple laps later 1.39.277 and I think I can take off another half a second without too much effort. These guys were using the soft sports tires right?

the best thing to do for these things would be have ur buddy go real early tell you what they are using while you sit at home and practice practice practice, then go in and try not to make a mistake 
all driving assists were on, auto and i would assume the tires were sports medium as that seems to be the standard. Too bad you couldn’t have gone dude… seems like you coulda been a contender!

Sounds like this competition was pretty sloppy. Full driving assits, automatic, with a bone stock pile of shit? They should clearly have used a fast car manual with no assists, unless of course teh FASTEST GT4 driver uses automatic and assists? hah yea right. Pussies. They just wanted to make it easy for the 5 year olds that came to play.
Sports mediums, all assists on, automatic tranny, 2005 stock Mustang, and a whole-load of pressure.

Hey Sasha, sometimes the most skill is shown through how you drive a very slow car, makes each mistake a little heavier, ya know? 
yea driving assists also KILL slow cars though, you have to change your driving style entirely. anyways I did 4 laps with the driving assists on and pulled a 1.40.2xx then I got frustrated about how this thing kept killing power! haha but if they didnt have ANY practice and those were the times they ripped FIRST try with that car then that is amazing. simply.

Give them a JGTC car with no assists, that would weed out a lot of people, but maybe the final race will be something alittle better.
I wonder if theyll let you adjust some settings like transmission and suspension?
I think he got several tries if i’m not mistaken, you have to be there long enough I think…not sure how it worked. I don’t think they allow you to adjust ANYTHING.
He said the car’s handling was crap, and he just tried to make the absolute best of it.
The bad drivers/players get weeded out on the slow cars by not using skip barber tactics, so it works in one sense, I guess!
fuck gt4, i am the master at drift in gt3. gt4 makes me mad. They didnt even improve the sounds of the cars, sound like poopie
A real fast driver will use the techniques learnt from a slower car and apply them to a quick car, so not only do you need to know the techniques you need to apply them right or you will still be off the pace by 1 second per minute at best. It will look like quick driving possibly but the times wont be nearly close enough.
I couldn’t agree more…they did change them a very little bit though.
You need to play Need For Speed 5: Porsche Unleashed with a subwoofer setup, wow. Best sounding cars in a game, ever. They sound EXACTLY like their real counterparts, it’s unbelieveable.
