Need some GOOD padding for the new cage. What should I get and from where?
Thanks,

SFI certified from saferacer.com, but overkill IMO
the same stuff the insulate pipes with. the grey foam
Well if you need it to potentially save your life get the SFI or FIA spec padding. If it’s just so you don’t bump your head when getting in and moving around inside your car get the cheaper foam padding
You can get both at Bicknell Racing Products
troyers?
This and only this:

damn i would have given u mine from newmans old cage
^ damn. Ah well, this will be shiney and new…
Yup best stuff out there.
That stuff sounds like it works good, something to note is it’s large size. There a few lengths my friend had that were on the same rollbar I have, removed because it added so much bulk. Safety isn’t something you sure compare to comfort, so why I just said a note of that stuff. Theirs a turbo mustang guy on YB, that slapped the wall at the 1000’ @130. Still a street car, and only had padding for his head. But hit his ankle that basically exploded the bones. Lots of surgery, I guess its fused mostly now. That’s a spot I think everyone overlooks, its not gona be fatal but not a good time either. I’m gona see what I can do for my car, mostly my knee when I have the stock seats in. But still have clutch room, and the cruising knee room.
^ the worst part about crashing the race car was always the beating your feet/legs would take, well that and the damage to your car.
