Rothlisfucker deal

I see plenty of retards in Pittsburgh whose lives seem to be effected by a win or loss for the Steelers, it’s pretty sad.

The NFL itself is bringing in more and more money. Don’t you think the players should get their cut?

:finger2:

id rather see tickets and concessions go lower. if they are bringing in more and more, then it seems logical that they could make shit more affordable for the vast majority of the general public rather than pile on more money to the very few select players that already have more money than they could possibly spend. thats all im saying. i realize it probly wont happen i was just pointing out that it seems its getting harder for ppl to afford all of this and yet youi justify it by saying ‘the league is making more money dont the players deserve their cut?’ fuck that.

Capitalist logic dictates that the number one priority is to maximize profit. Lowering prices in the face of increased sales doesn’t make any sense.

its a business. businesses are in business to make money. you think McDonalds gives a fuck about their customers? Best Buy? Wal-mart? Fuck no. They care about their money. And you can take it personally if you want, but its the same with every business on the face of the planet.

And they most certainly don’t give the players more money than they could possibly spend. If you couldnt go through $100 million dollars in a weekend, then you are a total pussy.

i understand it logically wont happen and i understand its a buisness. thats been established, but thanks for that.

Fixed…and agreed.

Lets break it down easy.

Bens numbers are great for what he has to protect him.

Put Manning or Brady in his spot, they arent shit. The SB this year showed that. The Giants put Brady on his ass like every team has tried/done to Ben this year, yet Ben still ended up with 3rd passer rating this season? Give me a break. Anyone that is hating on Ben is a fucktard.

you cant say if this, if that…lots of other guys have made a living running for their life. elway, farve, young… they get their heads kicked in. you gotta work with what you have… if manning really was on that bad of a team he would learn how to move. lets not forget…he is a profesional athlete… if he really has to move he will… its not like he’s a 370 lb slob.

with all that said i think the older people in this thread are spoiled… be saw the 3 of the greatest ever to play growin up… elway, marino, montana… manning and favre are part of that now… brady and ben are good but they are like boomer esiason, jim kelly good.

They raise the price untill it comes to a place where the people will still pay and they make maximum profit. It would be like selling your car to a rich guy and selling it to him for a higher price (then you gave everyone else) because he is willing to pay whatever to get it. There must be plenty of people out there who are able to afford the high prices because every game is insanly packed… Why would they lower the price? If you make a product you would charge as much as people were willing to pay for it. It not right it’s just the way things are. Remember the NFL is a business, not a chairity. I guess you either get over it and enjoy simple things in life or be a grump ass who complains all the time.

I was a little late on that last post… someone else already got that one…where is that beating a dead horse smilie?
Swap elway with young and then it’s correct…I never liked elway much.

Even though the tax dollars paid for the Rooney’s bloody stadium.

price you gotta pay to live in the home of the 5 time SB champs… dont like it move to Buffalo. + the Steelers arent the only thing that goes on in that stadium anyways :stick:

Really? I thought the idea was defeated when the citizens voted on it.

I must be crazy…

On November 4, 1997, over 530,000 voters from 11 southwestern counties in Pennsylvania came out and voted in the majority against the sales tax initiative.

“The voters made the decision that they do not want tax-dollars to pay for stadiums and I think we need to respect that”. -Mayor Murphy

On July 9, 1998, the RAD Board held a public hearing at Pittsburgh City Council Chambers. Despite the outcome of the Regional Renaissance Initiative and the public’s continuance in opposing the public funding of stadiums, the RAD Board Members voted 6 to 1 in favor of stadium funding.

Read much?:stick:

Nope… blind or perhaps just a fucking retard cause I know when I drive down the Ohio River Blvd… its there, whether you and however many other ppl that voted against it likes it or not. So deal with it or move cause its not going anywhere anytime soon

:stupid:

I was trying to point out that it’s not the price we “gotta pay” it’s the price that some members of our government decided they’d like us to pay. Some teams actually do finance their own stadiums.

One thing I found funny when the Pens had such a hard time getting funding for a new arena is that Heinz field/PNC park combines are not used as much as the arena would be. Yet it was such a hassle to get funding for an arena. But in the end Pittsburgh will get a new arena that will be used alot more than just for hockey.

Ehh… you may be right there, I dont know. What teams?
